Mixing Metals
Sandra Paluzzi
I love the two tone metal look and am particularly fond of a mixture of sterling and copper in one piece. Many people have pieces which combine gold and silver. You can mix any two or even three metals together in one piece. However, it is important not to mix precious metals along with plated metals in the same piece. This is particularly true of mixing silver and silver plate. Your metals, such as silver, will wear differently than your plated components. While silver and silver plate may start out looking the same, they will look like very different metals in a few years.
