Fitting A Bracelet
Sandra Paluzzi
I'm sure we've all laid out an 8 inch bracelet on a bead board, made the bracelet and found it didn't fit an 8 inch wrist. This is because the beads take up some room on the wrist and effectively shorten its radius. One way to insure an accurate fit is to use a glass or vase. Measure the circumference of the vase and mark it where the tape measure shows 8 inches. This will simulate the wrist. Then try your bracelet on the vase until it fits the 8 inch mark. Voila, you have a bracelet that will fit an 8 inch wrist.
