I Can See Clearly Now Sandra J. Paluzzi I have 55 year old eyes that don't see as well as they once did. I use two specific tools to enable me to bead easily. The first tool I use is an optivisor. An optivisor is a pair of magnifying goggles that fit across the skull of your head much like a construction worker's headband flashlight. They run around 30.00 and will work over prescription glasses. You can get magnification from between 2x up to 20x. They are used a great deal by jewelry makers, coin and stamp collectors. They can be found all over the internet by searching on optivisor. I also use an Ott light to brighten up my work area. Ott lights provide true color which enables me to better color co-ordinate my creations. They are non-glare, full spectrum lights which are used by many artists and crafts people. They start at around 60.00 and top out at around 200.00. They can be found online and at office supply chains. I got lucky and found mine at a local discount warehouse. It's great to work for hours with no eye strain. This is your magazine as much as it is ours - Click here to email a beading tip for publication or to pose a question for a future tip.
