Finishing Threading Bracelets/Necklaces
Sandy Paluzz ®
It's always best to leave a tail
hanging out the back of your crimp bead when you finish off a piece of
jewelry. Then you string this extra thread back through your end
beads to help prevent the thread pulling out of the crimp. Pearls
present a challenge here as they have such small holes. Some people
use a gold/silver spacer on the end of the pearls to 'finish the piece'.
This metal bead holds the extra length of thread. I have been told
you can also very gently ream out the hole of the last pearl to make room
for the string.
