Bead Hole Size

While pearls and 4mm fire polish have smaller sized holes, the average size of a glass bead hole size is 1mm.  A thicker width stringing material such as hemp, leather or rubber will not fit through most lampwork beads.  These stringers require large holed beads.  Any bead with a hole size of 2mm or more is considered large holed.  Some bead holes are 4, 5, or even 6mm. Make sure your stringing material will fit through your beads.
