Here’s a pair of earrings to match the bracelet we made last month.

TOOLS AND SUPPLIES:

Sharp scissors

Leftover #11 seed beads from the bracelet

4 – 6mm beads

#12 beading needle or big eye beading needle

Beading thread.  Duel Duty sewing thread doubled works great for these.

A small clip or something to anchor the thread tail

STEP 1

String on one 6mm bead, 6 seed bead , one 6mm bead and 6 seed beads

STEP 2

Pass your needle back through bead one…

STEP 3

…and pull taunt

STEP 4

Pass your needle down through the six seed beads…

STEP 5

…then through the 6mm bead.

STEP 6

String on six seed beads and cross over to the opposite side…

STEP 7

and run your needle back through the upper bead.  You will now have all tour thread coming out of one bead

STEP 8

String on six more seed beads come across and run needle through the upper bead as before

STEP 9

Make sure you snug up your thread as much as possible

STEP 10

Now string on 10 seed beads…

STEP 11

Bring around the bottom of the 6mm bead…

STEP 12

…and run your needle back through that bead

STEP 13

Now go up through the next set of six seed beads…

STEP 14

…and pass your needle through that upper 6mm bead.

STEP 15

Now for the top.  String on 12 seed beads…

STEP 16

…come around and go back through the 6mm bead

STEP 17

Now run tour needle back through the first six seed beads…

STEP 18

…string on 4 seed beads and go down through the last six seed beads

STEP 19

Pass your needle through that 6mm bead one more time

STEP 20

Now you’re ready to finish

STEP 21

Go up through the seed beads.  Now, see where three sets of thread come out of the larger bead, run your needle under all three, snug but leave a small loop…

STEP 22

…bring your needle around and through that loop making a double wrap slip knot

STEP 23

Go back through the 6mm bead…

STEP 24

…then the next 6 seed beads

STEP 25

You now should have all your threads in the same area.

STEP 26

Make a double overhand knot, pulling snug.

Now it’s just a matter of weaving the thread ends back through several beads.

Go through one set of seed beads toward the bottom bead…

STEP 27

…pass through the bottom bead, pull snug and clip excess

STEP 28

Do the same with the remaining thread going towards the top as shown

finished

 STEP 29

Open the loop at the end of your earwire and drape the earring over the loop.  Close the loop and you have finished one earring

STEP 30

Repeat all steps for the other earring, add the earwires and enjoy
