Donut Beads

A focal sized donut bead is strong enough to
stand alone on a chain. Many companies are now selling
donut bails, but this dragonfly bail
is special. It sits on a spotted
brown turquoise donut. Design by
Sola Gratia Designs. |

|
 |
Here, a large jump ring is used to create a
bail holding a leaf charm.
Supplycrates
created these earrings which use the donuts as a backdrop to
the charm. I can't keep earrings like these day to night
creations on my craft table. |

Donut's are frequently used as centerpieces in
necklaces and bracelets. The chunkiness of the body of
Red Teddy's. bracelet
stands up well to the importance of the donut. |
|
|
|
 |
Wow! The donut melds with
the rest of this necklace designed by
Avid Weaver . It becomes part of the whole as it dangles
from the woven portion of the centerpiece. |

 |
Yet another focal donut.
Gift Bearer cleverly decided
to have her square centerpiece double as the bracelet's
clasp.. |

If you're beginning to think all good sized donuts
are used as focals, think again. In this chunky necklace by
LBJeweledJewelry,
donuts of various sized are strewn among
beads of various shapes. The basic colors of black, gray
and white make this a very versatile piece. |

Carrie Rachel Designs!
adds interest to a
series of donuts by interspersing smaller beads through
them in this classic bracelet design. |

CassiaLone
also strings donuts together in this bracelet.
But she strings the donuts through their center. The
irregularity of the ridges on the pearlized glass donuts work
extremely well with the striation of the banded agate stones. |

Donuts dangle from a chunky charm bracelet
consisting of shiny earth tone colors.
EverDreamDesigns brought this fun bracelet
into being. |

In the above picture, donuts dangled on a
link. Here donuts form the anchor for the dangles. These
earrings were hand made by BeebDesigns |

Our last design, by
My Cellar Door ,
is a montage of donuts. A donut forms the loop for
the lariat. Donut shaped beads also dangle down the end of the
chain to hold the lariat firmly in place on your neck.
When worn, the donuts all work together to give the appearance
of a chain with a centerpiece pendant. |
