Rice shaped beads

To me the classic rice bead is a white pearl.  Here, it is given a timeless treatment with sterling earwires. These earrings are currently available at JuliaCatherine etsy store

 

The shape of the rice beads make them ideal for use in charm bracelets.  Etsy's  GuppyCrew  used the rice beads to form the center of the charm bracelet, but these beads could just as easily be dangled as charms.

And if you gaze at the next picture, you'll see the classic rice pearl in a not so classic color.  Here the length of the rice bead is used to full advantage as it draws the eye downward and adds elongation to a necklace available at etsy in HotInjectionJewelry.

Not all rice beads are pearls.  But all rice beads are smooth to the touch and great to finger.  Therefore, they are ideal for prayer beads.  We've chosen a wooden mala bead created by etsy's the holy bead shop.

 

Our last entry shows the variety of looks achievable with the rice bead. Etsy's CocoJewelrysShop uses huge yellow onyx rice beads combined with labradorite and moss agate to create this strikingly sophisticated necklace.
