Tube Beads

By Sandy Paluzzi
   The Bead Peddler

In this design by PragaJewelry, tubes dangle down around your neck to form a collar.  I like the fact that these tubes are drilled sideways.
maximeboldeau made a necklace that screams South West to me.  Turquoise and red are as all American as apple pie.  I like the fact that this necklace and the one above it have very different looks even though the beads are so similar.
ScrapMetal has made her own tube beads in this great asymmetrical design.  The soft green in the pearls works beautifully with the tone of the silver.
This upscale design by seaglassboutique uses curved tubes to separate the sea glass beads.  It's a necklace that will work with just about anything.
Starrbeads employs her wooden tubes as spacers in this earthy necklace.  The addition of the quartz centerpiece echos the shape of the spikes and yet creates interest.  This piece could easily be worn by a man as well as a woman.
TorchedStudio specializes in enameling and has made the tube bead as well as the necklace.  She suggests layering her tube bead necklaces for a fantastic look,

http://terrimaystudios.etsy.com made the long, dazzling tube bead.  egle made a long fiber art chain to hold it.  This chain can be worn in a variety of ways, but doubled at the neck is my favorite.

Since tube beads are long, they add to the overall impact of length in thie necklace by Starrbeads.  The addition of multi colored oval bead stations add interest.
ChainedHeart makes excellent use of tube beads in this bib necklace.  Black and silver are a classic combination and the monotone of black combined with the diversity of shapes makes a dramatic statement.

melted1 has created a statement piece with this wide cuff bracelet.  Note how the black and clear rondelles are strung to present a tube shape that is echoed in the neighboring copper tubes.

Commanda13 has used the teeny tiny size 15seed beads to create this incredible tube bracelet.  Her clasp choice is just perfect for the shape of the bracelet.
KimzVisionz calls this bracelet 'totally tubular'.  It's a great use of cane glass.
gallagj has achieved perfect balance in this bracelet.  Here the tubes are used to separate the focal beads and are thin enough not to detract from them.
This is the second time this month I've chosen wooden tubes with surprises.  Elysiana40  uses her tubes to encircle the wrist and create an earthy backdrop for her focal centerpiece.
Chain maille anyone?  The execution of the technique is flawless in this 3 strand bracelet made by DragonflySilver
CreaLuneDestash uses tubes, tubes and more tubes to create this wrap around bracelt which conforms to the shape of the wrist.
This classic bangle uses goldtone curves to form the body of the bracelet.  Swarovski crystals form the centerpiece and are placed at the rear of the tube for an extra finishing touch.  Design by angelwings1
cserpent turns the table on the above bracelets and makes the tube  bead from Ghana the centerpiece of her earthy bracelet.  This bead is truly spectacular and is enhanced by its surrounding beads.
Most tubes are strung lengthwise.  plyeffects uses them horizontally and sandwiches them between button pearls for an updated classic.
redrosejewelry takes David Christensen's beautiful tube glass bead and turns it into an amazing pair of dangle earrings.
bythebead goes back to the basics and showcases her beautiful acrylic tube beads in this deceptively simple pair of earrings.
There is a lot going on in this pair of earrings by Kashuen.   The jade dangles add importance to a well designed piece.
I'm going to show my age here and tell you I might have worn this pair of macrame earrings back in the 60s.  Then I'm going to show my style and say I might wear earrings like this today!  Design by halomoonartworks
TIVOLIDESIGNS has created a very unique look in this pair of earrings.  I think they would set off a tan nicely on the beach and look equally good dressed up for a night on the town.
Red is one of my favorite colors.  ForeverHaunted shows it can stand on its own in this sterling  silver pair of geometric earrings.  The unfancy shape of the earwires bring these earrings right up to date.
dabandgirl creates a gentle fan by interspersing bugle and seed beads.  Can't you just see the earrings swinging along as you walk down the street?
Cocosjewelry named these earrings after Cleopatra and they are fit for a queen.  This is the type of earring I would pick up in a museum gift shop and wear when I wanted to attract attention.
Clexbaby uses subtlety to create these elegant earrings.    The light olive of the crystals pick up the highlights in the tubes.
beanzi calls these earrings silver swirls.  The swirl in the earwire is stamped over and over again in the body of the earring.
2crazyhippies has designed a classic pair of earrings.  The big surprise is that the tube is open and yellow rounds can be seen lurking within.
RejoiceTheHands has a waterfall of tubes dangling from the spine of these earrings.  I could easily see this same design working on a bib necklace.
