Create romantic designs for spring Romance is back for Spring 2006 By Bethany Waldrop Keiper "Isn't it romantic? Music in the night, a dream that can be heard. Isn't it romantic? Moving shadows write the oldest magic word." -- Lorenz Hart, lyricistFrom top to bottom, romantic touches can be found in this year's spring clothing styles. To follow the fashion, add a little romance to your beaded jewelry designs. Soft florals, lace, eyelet, ruffles, frills, and tiny tucks are all current style trends which can dictate the jewelry you create.
This bracelet, with its pastel design is a pretty springtime Valentine. This piece beams romance with its intricate details -- from the shimmer of the AB crystal bicones to the natural touch of the flowers and the green of their tiny encased leaves.
This design is a spring treasure, for within its white oval beads are floating pink rosebuds and tiny green leaves. Give the end of each oval a sunny yellow bead cap, and alternate facetted Czech firepolished beads in shades of pastel green and softly swirled pink in between. These delicate colors are a perfect match for many of the soft neutral colors that are popular this spring. For other romantic designs, consider briolettes, which will be popular for necklaces. Their lovely teardrop shape gives the necklace an illusion of a "V" and helps elongate and flatter the face and neckline. Take some time to search through your beads for the perfect colors to use for earrings in dangles and long, slender chandeliers. You will also find many designs have a "natural" influence, featuring leaves, petals, and butterflies. Natural influences also refer to gemstones -- favorites this season are predicted to be coral, agate, and turquoise.White oval encased rosebud beads, and pink and green firepolished beads, courtesy of The Bead Peddler. Gemstone pendants and bright seed beads are also available at The Bead Peddler.
