Graduated Jewelry
By Sandy
Paluzzi By definition, a graduated piece of jewelry is composed of different sized beads. I like to use at least 3 different sized beads in a graduated piece, but you could get away with 2. The largest bead(s) are the center part of the necklace and the beads get smaller as they travel upwards toward your neck. Stringing graduated bracelets and necklaces can be a good way to add interest to a simple bead. You can buy strands of graduated semi precious beads or order different sizes of crystals. You can use all one color, different shades of the same color (lightest shade on the top, darkest on the bottom), or use 3 entirely different colors to present contrast. Red, white and blue are always a good seller, especially around the 4th of July.
