Round Beads

By Sandy Paluzzi
   The Bead Peddler
®

Can anything be more basic than  plain round glass beads?  Yet, look how dramatic they look in this long garnet and citrine glass necklace by SylviesWhimsies
This second necklace also features only the use of rounds.  Here, a graduated design in different tiger's eye colors are used to make a strong focal point for this asymmetrical necklace by UUstone
Now, we see our rounds broken up.  The addition of a second color and shape takes this long two strand necklace out of the ordinary.  Design by gorgeous
This necklace goes shorter with circles, circles, circles everywhere.   I particularly like the bail RissaRose composed of small round beads.
I love the drama of large round beads encircling the neck.  Designs by Denise Marie adds even more drama to this classic look by spacing the red coral rounds with turquoise disks.
Sometimes, less is more.  The sterling silver rounds just gleam in this center piece necklace designed by MiMisJewelryDesigns
Round beads also dangle well from a pair of earrings.  A few swirls on the surface of these aqua round beads add complexity to a very simple design.  MetalheartDesign put a round shape in the earwires to pull everything together.
Look what a difference a bead cap can make in a pair of earrings. Design by  PersonalStyle
The larger green aventurine round beads at the bottom of these earrings by pambranchdesigns seem to anchor the flirty, floaty look.
Round beads are just perfect strung on hoops.  You can bead just a few at the bottom of the hoop or go for the bold by covering the whole hoop as steinschmuckdesign has done.
I like a mix of geometric shapes in jewelry.  Here BeadyKeekJewelry has effectively paired a triangular leaf shape with a round dangle.
The lapis round beads in this design are in great proportion to their flower dangles  Design by Irishbabies
Nothing beats round beads for a bracelet. They're smooth to the touch and feel good against the skin.  Maryellendoran has wire wrapped sponge coral beads to create a bracelet that will be worn for generations to come.
Carved round wooden beads become the basis for this randomly designed earthy bracelet by jewelsbykat
Round semi precious beads dangle  to give added dimension to this copper bracelet designed by wstyle
Round beads work especially well with either elastic or memory wire.  pattimacs creates a modern look with this well proportioned design.
WeddingJewels uses basic white pearls to form a classic, 2 strand bracelet designed for your romantic moods
Not only does this Medussa bracelet by SixelaForever strike me with its symbolism, it also inspires me to use connectors in yet another way.
ShannaMichele adds a bit of sparkle to rich, purple round focal beads.  The different textures and shapes complement each other beautifully.
The large round focal bead is enclircled with an orb of seed beads in this woven bracelet designed by Charmzy.
